At Bridge Referrals and Emergency Vet team (EVT), we are committed to providing exceptional veterinary care while making responsible choices that help reduce our environmental impact.
We are proud that 100% of our electricity is backed by UK Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs). This means that the electricity we use is matched by renewable energy generated from a blend of UK sources, including:
- Wind
- Solar
- Hydroelectric
- Biomass
- Landfill gas
As our businesses continue to grow, sustainability remains an important consideration in the decisions we make.

As part of our exciting expansion, due to open in Autumn 2026, we are also investing in renewable energy generation on-site, with 229 solar panels being installed on the roof of our new facility. These panels will help reduce our reliance on grid electricity and support our long-term commitment to operating more sustainably.
Alongside this expansion, we will be introducing a new Siemens MRI scanner. As well as providing advanced diagnostic imaging for patients, the system has been designed with sustainability in mind through a number of innovative green technologies.
DryCool Technology
The MRI features a sealed-for-life magnet that operates using as little as 0.7 litres of liquid helium, helping to conserve this finite resource and eliminating the need for a quench pipe.
Eco Power Mode
Intelligent self-control of the magnet cooling cycles allows the system to reduce energy consumption during periods when it is not in use.
Eco Gradient Mode
The gradient amplifier can automatically power down during periods of inactivity and reactivate in less than five seconds when needed, helping to minimise unnecessary energy use.
By combining renewable energy-backed electricity, on-site solar generation, and investments in modern energy-conscious technology, we are taking positive steps to reduce our environmental footprint while continuing to deliver the highest standards of veterinary care.
We believe that caring for animals and caring for the environment go hand in hand, and we are excited to share more updates as our new facility takes shape ahead of its opening towards the end of 2026.
