The relationship between Bridge Referrals and your practice
We are an extension of your veterinary team. The relationship between primary care vets and their clients is a very important one. Enhancing the relationship between Bridge Referrals and the referring practices we serve can only strengthen this. We strive to provide as smooth and compassionate a service as we can, so you can refer to us in confidence knowing that you are making the right choice for your clients. We will always keep you informed during the referral process. You will be fully up to date with any ongoing treatment plans or consultations.
How do I make a referral?
There are three ways to make a referral:
1. Visit our ‘online platform” to start the referral process – app.bridgereferrals.co.uk
Fill out the details of the case you would like to refer and a member of our administrative team will then contact your client directly to arrange an appointment. You will be able to follow the progress of the referral on the ‘online platform’. If you do not have access to the referral platform, please email us at [email protected] to arrange access.
2. Alternatively you can arrange a referral by emailing us at [email protected]
3. Or by telephoning directly on 0191 5808330
What should I do if I have an emergency?
In case of an emergency or out of hours referral please contact us on 0191 580 8330 to speak directly to a member of staff.

Can I ask for advice on a case?
Yes, of course you can. We are happy to help. This can be done through our ‘online platform’ or you can email requests to [email protected]. If you prefer, we can phone you back to discuss the case, please request this when you contact us.
Will the referral process be easy?
All our clinicians have worked in primary care practice, we have experienced and witnessed the pressures that come with working in a busy first opinion practice. We want to make it as easy, as reliable and responsive as we can for you to refer a case. The easiest way to refer is using our ‘online platform’ through our website, but failing that we can take referrals via our email [email protected] or by telephoning directly on 0191 580 8330.
