Bridge Referrals’ journey towards carbon neutrality received a boost as our REGO energy certification was issued by our electricity supplier EDF.
REGO stands for Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin. Our certificate verifies and tracks that all of Bridge Referrals electricity supply is generated from renewable sources.
The REGO scheme was established by the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets (Ofgem), the regulatory authority for the electricity and gas markets in Great Britain. It provides transparency and assurance to consumers and businesses regarding the renewable sources of electricity they purchase.
When Bridge Referrals consumed our first megawatt-hour (MWh) of renewable electricity our REGO certificate was issued. This certificate serves as proof that the electricity was generated from eligible renewable sources such as wind, solar, hydro, biomass, or tidal energy.
Our REGO certificates continues to demonstrate our commitment to renewable energy usage. By purchasing electricity with REGO certificates, Bridge Referrals can support renewable energy and contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions.
